Planning Services Report — Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations and Industrial Regulations — Town Initiated Official Plan Amendment and Zoning Amendment It is recommended that: Council receive this report for information; 2. Council direct staff to initiate Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By- law Amendment processes based on the information in this report, and 3. Council authorize staff to hold a public open house.
Maidstone Museum — Sale to Maidstone and Area Historical Society It is recommended that: 1. Council authorize Administration to formalize the sale of the building and property known as the Maidstone Bicentennial Museum at 1093 Puce Road, Lakeshore, Ontario, for the nominal sum of $ 2. 00 ( two dollars) to the Maidstone and Area Historical Society (MHS) in an ' as is' condition; and, 2. MHS operate the land and building for the sole purpose of an historical museum and related interpretation activities only, and, 3. That the Town of Lakeshore adjust the current property line to provide for the existing Museum parking to the south of Public Works; and, 4. The Town of Lakeshore provide an annual subsidy to MHS similar that of the Comber Historical Society, and, 5. The MHS will have sole responsibility for the maintenance, repair and upkeep of the building and property; and, 6. The Town of Lakeshore retains the first right of refusal to purchase 1093 Puce Road for a nominal fee of $2. 00 ( two dollars) should the MHS decide it no longer wishes to operate the museum or cannot operate and maintain the museum and grounds.
Lakeview Park West Beach — Interim usage statement It is recommended that: It is recommended that Council confirm the current usage of the newly expanded Lakeview Park West Beach pending a further report on the full development of Lakeview Park.
Notre Dame Street — Phase 3 Update It is recommended that: 1. Council receive the attached report related to the E.L. K. Energy component of the Notre Dame — Phase 3 project.
Union Gas Proposed Panhandle Line Replacement — MURF Site It is recommended that: 1. Council approve the proposed placement of the Union Gas 20 inch new panhandle line along the northerly limits of the Multi Use Recreational Facility MURF) lands in a 5 metre permanent easement and a 19 metre temporary construction easement in exchange for a $ 500,000 donation to the Capital Campaign for the Multi Use Recreational Facility. 2. Council give three readings to by-law 46-2014 authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to execute the agreements with Union Gas to allow for a permanent and temporary easement on the Multi Use Recreational Facility lands.
Municipal Insurance — Request for Proposals 2014 It is recommended that: Council award the contract for municipal insurance for the period of July 1, 2014 to December 31, 2015 to BFL Canada for the quoted price of 1, 032,963. 60.
18. Members shall be governed by the following rules: a) Each member shall be limited to 3 minutes b) Questions shall be of general municipal concern, which may require a report from administration and do not require public consultation c) Matters raised in question period shall not be debated d) A motion of council is required for all administrative reports to Council e) Administration will track council questions on the council tracking report f) The chair may not allow a question in question period that should more properly be addressed to administration during regular business hours. 19.
