Emergency Response Plan Administrative Revisions It is recommended that: 1. Council give three readings to by-law 59-2016 being a by-law to adopt an Emergency Plan and Program for the Town of Lakeshore and to repeal by-law 100-2005.
Rural Economic Development Grant - Hotel Feasibility Study It is recommended that: 1. Council pass By-law #64-2016, being a by-law to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute an agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs under the Rural Economic Development (RED) program to receive grant funding totaling $4,800 for the purpose of a Hotel Feasibility Study.
Pathway to Potential & Canadian Tire Jump Start Programs It is recommended that: 1. Council adopt By-law 63-2016 being a by-law to authorize the Mayor and the Director of Finance to renew a service agreement with the City of Windsor for the Pathway to Potential Program for the period of January 1, 2016, to December 31, 2016; and, 2. Council approve the Town's continued administration of the Canadian Tire Jump Start Program in 2016 for Lakeshore residents.
Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Grant Application 2016 It is recommended that: 1. Council direct Administration to apply for the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Grant, and 2. Council prioritize the order of the applications as Old Tecumseh Road Trail (priority one) and West Beach Jetty project (priority two).
Tender Award - Myers Road and Lakeshore Road 113 Surface Treatment It is recommended that Council: 1. Award the tender for surface treatment on Myers Road and Lakeshore Road 113 to Shepley Road Maintenance Ltd. in the total amount of $230,520 plus applicable taxes. 2. Authorize the Manager of Public Works Services to adjust the contract amount based on actual quantities of emulsion, aggregate and granular materials required for the completion of this project.
Tender Award - Elmgrove Drive and East Pike Creek Road Reconstruction and Elmgrove Drive Drain Improvements, and East Pike Creek Watermain Replacement It is recommended that: 1. Council award the tender for Elmgrove Drive and East Pike Creek Road Reconstruction and Elmgrove Drive Drain improvements and East Pike Creek watermain replacement to Major Construction (2010) Ltd. in the amount of $2,589,564 plus HST.
Tender Award - Bridge Rehabilitation 2016 - Duck Creek Bridge #01020 Removal and Maintenance of Various Bridges It is recommended that Council: 1. Award the Bridge Rehabilitation 2016 tender to Clarke Construction in the amount of $189,000 plus applicable taxes for removal of Duck Creek Bridge at Baseline Road ROW (Bridge #01020) and maintenance of various bridges. 2. Approve an over-expenditure of $27,943 for this project. It is recommended that this over-expenditure be funded from the lifecyle reserve account for Bridges and Culverts.
Closure of Alley between First and Second Street - By-law 66-2016 It is recommended that: 1. Council give three (3) readings to by-law 66-2016 being a by-law to close the alley between First Street and Second Street.
Park Lane and Southwood Project - Addition of Westwood Request 1. Council authorize Administration to amend the Park Lane and Southwood Drive Watermain Replacement and Road Resurfacing Contract awarded to DAmore Construction Ltd. to add the watermain replacement and road resurfacing on Westwood Drive at the unit prices within the tender at an increased cost not to exceed $213,000 for construction, resulting in a total contract value not to exceed $682,300 including net HST, and 2. Council approve an over-expenditure in the Water Budget Centre for replacement of the Westwood water main under the Park Lane/SouthwoodA/Vestwood capital project at a cost not to exceed $227,000, and 3. Council approve an over-expenditure in the Public Works Budget Centre main under the Park Lane/SouthwoodA/Vestwood capital project for replacement of the Westwood road pavement at a cost not to exceed $43,560, and 4. Council approve transfers not to exceed $227,000 and $43,560 from the Water Reserve Fund and Roads Lifecycle Reserve respectively to fund the additional project costs.
