Millson, River Ridge Phase 7 (County File:37-T- 17002) Part of Lots 4 & 5, Concession East of Puce River Recommendation: Council adopt By-law # 94-2019 (ZBA-16-2019) to remove the Holding Symbol (h4) for Phase 7 of the River Ridge Subdivision (See Appendix 1 & 2), from R2-22(h4), Residential Type 2 Exception 22 "Holding Zone", to R2- 22, Residential Type 2 Exception 22 Zone. 11.(b) 454 Brighton Road 1. The Town of Lakeshore encourage access and municipal servicing of this parcel, from the Town of Tecumseh, as it is easier to access (owner owns additional property on the Tecumseh side) and service this parcel in the Oxbow, than in the main waterbody of the Pike Creek; and 2. Notices of Motion 18.(a) Notice of Motion Submitted by Councillor Wilder Re: Gas Tax Fund WHEREAS 60% of Canada's public infrastructure is owned by local governments and municipalities; WHEREAS only 10% of every tax dollar in Canada is available to local governments and municipalities to provide the infrastructure and services needed by residents; WHEREAS estimates indicate that local governments and municipalities need an additional $4.9 billion per year, for ten years, on top of the existing federal and provincial transfers, to continue delivering services and close the existing infrastructure funding gap; WHEREAS local governments and municipalities are important to the prosperity of Canada as a whole, delivering many of the services that make communities strong and building the infrastructure needed to grow the economy; WHEREAS the Gas Tax Fund is an important source of direct funding for local governments and municipalities, to build and maintain the infrastructure required by residents; WHEREAS the 'one-off doubling of the Gas Tax Fund allocation for 2019 allowed local governments and municipalities to proceed with projects on an accelerated pace, which improved municipal infrastructure, helped grow the economy and had immediate impacts for residents. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Government of Canada be urged to recognize the immediate financial needs of municipalities and to support them through a permanent doubling of the Gas Tax Fund, together with a predictable annual growth rate, so that local governments and municipalities can close the infrastructure gap and continue to deliver the services that communities require to grow and prosper; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this motion be sent to the Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, the Honourable Andrew Sheer, Leader of the Official Opposition, and all MPs in Canada; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT a copy of this Motion be sent to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, and all Canadian municipalities for their consideration. 18.(b) Notice of Motion submitted by Councillor Walstedt Re: Procedural By-law Whereas the Town of Lakeshore's business continues to evolve requiring more time for matters to be considered during Council meetings; And whereas Town Council wishes to effectively manage its time in meetings; Now therefore the Council of The Corporation of Lakeshore: 1.
